Here’s what usually happens when actors start holding back: the work gets quieter, flatter, and a lot less interesting. Not because you don’t understand the script—but because you’re waiting for something outside of yourself to tell you what to do.
This is where we change that.
We work on understanding characters, scenes, and relationships through script analysis - not to find the right answer, but to uncover what’s actually going on. And when the script doesn’t hand you everything neatly wrapped up (because it often doesn’t), you learn how to trust your own judgment enough to fill in the gaps.
The result? Your instincts get louder. Your choices get clearer. And instead of defaulting to what feels comfortable, you start making decisions that are specific, grounded, and true to the character. Which is where the good stuff lives, because strong choices aren’t risky. They’re intentional.
Create Your Character is a professional-level audition workout group for female-identifying and non-binary actors who are actively working and ready to sharpen their choices. This is a space for focused, character-first work, with a requirement of coach approval to join.

Start with the Script
We use script analysis to understand characters, scenes, and relationships, not to hunt for a single “right” answer, but to give your choices structure, clarity, and intention.
Room to Play
You’re encouraged to play, take risks, and explore characters in a judgement-free space where experimenting is part of the process.
Listen. Analyze. Adjust.
We’ll listen together and talk through what’s working, what’s not, and where the character can go further. Feedback is thoughtful and specific.
Refine, Then Reveal
Finally, you’ll record a pass incorporating discoveries from the room and sharpening your choices. You’ll learn to trust your own judgement. The aim isn’t louder work. It’s clearer, more specific choices that feel true to you and the character.
